AND JUST LIKE THAT…I blinked and it’s been a year already since we had our grand opening! 🥲
Feels like both just yesterday and a lifetime ago…I know we have several new followers that have recently joined us, but let me take this opportunity to reintroduce ourselves and also say that we’ve actually been here since Oct 2020!
Some of the pics you see here show what the place looked like when we first got here. With the help of our family and closest friends, we’ve put so much love, sweat, and hustle into creating this space from the ground up, making a place that’s walkable, welcoming, and top-quality for our neighborhood. And to look back and see what this place looks like now compared to then still gives us chills. But the picture isn’t complete without you guys. The support you’ve given us since day one has been so heartwarming, and one of the only reasons why we’re still here, we can’t thank all our regulars enough. We know you have several options to choose from, but to still see people show up on our lonely end of the corner here on Edgefield supporting our small Latino owned business means a lot. Just please remember that we still need your support! We’ve got 4 years invested into this property (and open just 1!) so while we’re excited for the future of Elmwood, we still rely on your continued support, and every little purchase goes a long way and doesn’t go unnoticed.
In the meantime, please come out and celebrate with us on Saturday November 9th! We’ll have free drip all day, ofc bagel sandwiches from @cliffbagels our full lineup of our newly released seasonal drinks and a few giveaways! Come buy the last of our OG hoodies now that cooler temps are here! Looking to have new merch available for season 2. We’ll also have several small businesses pop-up with us including our friend @shopautumnmoon ! And a huge shoutout in celebrating her 6th business anniversary! We decided to join forces this year and make this a super fun event for everyone 😆

🥧 Apple Pie Chai-der: Can be made hot or iced but only gets along with nondairy milk 🙂↕️
🥃Amaretto Sour Coldbrew: Amaretto sour but with coldbrew but you probably could’ve figured that one out on your own 😉
And a then don’t forget about our friend, the Salted Pumpkin Spice Latte ☕️

Came in with 2 friends, service was quick and friendly! We love the atmosphere and the seating options (they have a patio). They have a healthcare discount which was super nice 😊
Two of us got a brown sugar latte with oat milk (iced) and my other friend got a lavender latte with oat milk (iced). I personally don’t like minor figures oat milk, it gives a weird taste so I opted for califia instead and my other friends got the minor figures to compare. We said califia reduced the bitterness in the coffee and made it smooth while minor figures downgraded the flavor. Overall, the coffee was a 4/10. This is the second place I’ve been to where they use minor figures unfortunately for their oatmilk.
We’ll be back to try other things and for the vibe of the coffee place as it has nice seating to study and natural lighting ✨

Service- good
Seating- ooh man! It’s rough. Definitely not ideal for working and not really for meeting with friends either. It’s a shame- it’s a super cute spot with great lighting, a great aesthetic, but the way it’s set up it feels like they don’t want anyone to stay. Easily would have 5 stars from me if it had a more welcoming seating situation.
